Athanassios Danilof

Architectural Lighting Designer

Athanassios (Thanos) Danilof works as an architectural lighting designer and consultant since 2005. His studio is in Athens. He has completed a large number of lighting projects in the built environment, both in the public and private sectors and has received awards in international competitions. His visual planning projects include urban and rural landscapes, museums, landmarks, artistic installations, residential and commercial buildings.

In parallel to his professional activities, Danilof is conducting research in the field of Urban Lighting History and Design Theory as a PhD. Candidate at the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens. He holds an MSc in Light & Lighting from the Bartlett School of Graduate Studies - UCL, an MSc in Engineering Management and a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Brunel University London.
