LIGHT EDU is a comprehensive events program of education, information, research, and mediation in the field of architectural and technical lighting in Romania. The LIGHT EDU Symposium is organized by the Architects Order of Romania - Timiș Branch within the BETA - Timișoara Architecture Biennial in partnership with the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning in Timișoara.
The LIGHT EDU 2018 Workshop is a 5 day workshop dedicated to those interested in architectural lighting. It will be held in Timisoara and will consist in the conception, planning and realization of lighting installations by participants, using professional control devices and systems. The educational component of the workshop will focus on the ergonomics and perception of the space that is aenhanced by lighting.
The end result will benefit both the participants and the entire community. The chosen locations will be activated at night, becoming promenades, giving the community the chance to experience directly the effects of good quality urban lighting.
The LIGHT EDU Workshop is dedicated to any resident of Romania or the DKMT Euroregion, over 18, with a real interest in lighting, and good English speaking skills.
The participants, by signing up for the LIGHT EDU 2018 Workshop, agree to to have their data processed, as provided to the organizer. The organizer ensures the participants that it will process their data honestly and transparently solely in the professional interest of both parties and the organization of the LIGHT EDU 2018 Workshop, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No 679/2016 of the European Parliament and of the Council of the Union (GDPR). Entry is considered valid upon receipt of the confirmation message from the organizers, within 24 hours of completing the form.
As the number of participants is limited to 20, the selection of the final list will be based on the motivation text.
The deadline for the LIGHT EDU 2018 Workshop application is September 15, 2018 at 22:00.
The selected participants will be notified by the organiser by e-mail on 17.09.2018.
The event will take place between 29.09 - 03.10. 2018.
The organiser of the workshop is the Timiș Territorial Branch of the Architects Order in Romania.
